A quiet place to sit, feel the heat, and take some time for yourself

Guy spent his twenties living in London, where saunas and cold plunges became a genuine way of dealing with mental fatigue. It quickly became his antidote to a busy life: time to be still, away from his phone, a non-negotiable weekly reset.

The Hide was born from that experience. Guy wanted to build a considered, design-led sauna surrounded by nature, so others could find the same sense of ease. When his father Adam showed interest in bringing a wellness offer to Houchins, the two began working on it together.

The Hide isn't a spa day, and it isn't a gym add-on. It's a welcoming place to sit still and find genuine connection with nature, set on the farm among mature trees.

Guy worked closely with JM Bower through the design process, attentive to every element of löyly, steam, aroma, nature, and aspect. Built from timber responsibly felled in Shropshire and processed by JM Bower's team, the sauna took shape in 2026, an original addition to an enduring farm.
